Went down to the Ann Arbor district Library to an event (Comic Jam) hosted by Jerzy Drozd with guest speaker, Michelangelo Cicerone... Thought I would try out a mini "comic Jam" on the kids before bed time.  The kids loved it and dove right in, giggling and laughing at their own jokes and putting them to the page with none of the usual need to erase and correct lines...they were more eager to get the message on paper and less critical of the sketch.  When I draw with them they tend to want the sketch to be "just right" ...but this was different as the story was primary and the sketches just flowed out!  They had more focus and more quantity ( not to mention FUN) than usual. It was a great lesson for all of us!
